The Seed I Didn't Know I Was — Book One: Earth An Alignment Devotional for Cycle Breakers
For the woman who has been surviving when she was born to become.
You know the feeling. You have built a life that functions — that looks, from the outside, like someone who has it largely together. And underneath all of it, quietly and persistently, there has been the sense that something essential is missing. That the version of you moving through these days is not quite the whole of you. That the life you have been managing is not quite the life you were meant to live.
The Seed I Didn't Know I Was was written for exactly that woman.
What This Book Is
This is the first book in 365 Days of Prayer, Reflection, and Becoming — a four-book devotional series structured around an ancient cycle of transformation: Earth → Fire → Water → Air. Each book walks you through one complete season of becoming. Book One is Earth. This is the beginning.
Over 90 days, you will move through three arcs:
- Days 1–30: Living It — Meeting yourself inside the life you have actually been living. The surviving, the showing up, the carrying, the hoping. No analysis yet. Only honesty.
- Days 31–60: Feeling It — The weight starts to become visible as a pattern. The lack, the limitation, the exhaustion that became familiar, the beliefs that calcified into identity.
- Days 61–90: Naming It — The first clear-eyed look. You stop circling and start seeing. You name the conditioning, the roles, the gap between who you have been and who you actually are.
By Day 90, you will not have released everything. That work belongs to Book Two. What you will have done is more foundational: you will have seen clearly. And clarity is where all genuine change actually begins.
How Each Day Works
Every day contains two parts that flow together as one complete unit:
A Moment of Divine Alignment — a prayer that is not a plea but a declaration. A sacred statement of return to yourself, addressed to whatever you understand the Divine to be. Spiritually inclusive. Non-dogmatic. Written for women of many traditions and none.
The Wisdom Beneath the Wound — a reflection drawn from lived experience, not theory. One woman telling another the honest truth about what she has lived and what it cost and what became possible on the other side of seeing it clearly.
Every entry closes with a Reflection for Your Becoming — a single, open question to sit with. Not to answer quickly. To answer honestly.
After each day's complete entry, two full pages of lined journaling space are provided for your response. Not lines at the bottom of a page — two full, dedicated pages with room to write everything the day asked you to hold.
This Book Is For You If...
- You have been the strong one for so long that you have forgotten you are allowed to be tired
- You function well enough that no one around you knows how disconnected you feel from your own life
- You have started to sense that the life you built was assembled from what was expected rather than what was actually yours
- You know something needs to change but you do not yet have the language for what, exactly, or why
- You are not looking to be fixed — you are looking to finally see yourself clearly
What You Will Walk Away With
By the end of these 90 days you will be able to name your own patterns instead of simply living inside them. You will recognize, perhaps for the first time, the specific shape of what you inherited versus what you actually chose. And you will arrive at Day 90 standing exactly where this book intends to leave you — at the threshold, seed cracked open, ready for what the next season asks.
